Crowborough Hill, Crowborough, East Sussex TN6 2DB
Crowborough is a thriving market town with a bustling centre with regular farmers' markets, high street shops, business parks, gastro pubs, restaurants and a range of lively social and leisure-time options. There are excellent children’s facilities including seven primary schools and various sports clubs.
Crowborough is well known locally for its calendar of spectacular carnivals, community events and fairs that draw crowds from far and wide. Although the town offers good shopping, Tunbridge Wells, just seven miles north, is renowned for the colonnaded area known as 'The Pantiles' – the exceptionally elegant pedestrianised town centre where there are high street names, pavement restaurants and elegant independent boutiques for designer clothing.
The two golf clubs close to Crowborough, Boars Head Golf Centre and Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club (ranked in the top 100 courses in the UK), offer plenty of challenges to golfers of all skills and experience. Ashdown Forest is spectacularly beautiful and there are miles upon miles of paths and bridleways that criss-cross the countryside down to the coast and along the Downs to Surrey.
The views from the hills around Crowborough are amongst the finest in Britain. Crowborough Drive stands on Crowborough Hill, just south east of the town’s centre approximately two minutes by car from Jarvis Brook railway station and close to many of the town’s amenities, businesses and schools. This is an ideal location for easy access to London and the South Coast on the A21 and A26 and Gatwick is only 45 minutes (approx) by road. London Bridge station is under an hour by rail from Jarvis Brook and there is an excellent network of buses to Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks.
